Arrival Day

Upon arrival in Lombok, our team will pick you up from the airport, hotel, or harbor and transfer you to Sembalun Village (approximately 2–3 hours drive).

After check-in at your accommodation, meet your trekking guide for a detailed briefing about the route, safety procedures, equipment, and trek preparation. Enjoy a relaxing evening before the adventure begins.

Day 1: Sembalun Village – Sembalun Crater Rim. (B,L,D)

Elevation: 1,156m → 2,639m
Trekking Duration: 6–7 Hours

After breakfast, transfer to the Mount Rinjani National Park registration office and begin the trek.

The journey starts across the beautiful Sembalun savannah, surrounded by rolling hills and open grasslands. Along the trail, you will pass several rest points where you can relax, enjoy refreshments, and take in the scenery.

Lunch will be served during the trek before continuing the ascent toward the Sembalun Crater Rim.

Arrive at the crater rim in the late afternoon and witness one of the most spectacular sunset views in Lombok. From the campsite, enjoy panoramic views of Segara Anak Lake, Mount Barujari, and the surrounding volcanic landscape.

Dinner and overnight camping at the crater rim.

Day 2: Mount Rinjani Summit – Sembalun Village. (B,L,)

Elevation: 2,639m → 3,726m → 1,156m
Trekking Duration: 9–11 Hours

Wake up around 2:00 AM for a light breakfast before starting the summit attempt.

The climb to the summit takes approximately 3–4 hours through steep volcanic terrain. Reach the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m) just before sunrise and enjoy unforgettable views across Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and the surrounding ocean.

After spending time at the summit, descend back to the crater rim campsite for breakfast and a short rest.

Continue the trek down through the Sembalun route, passing the savannah and rest posts before arriving back at Sembalun Village.

Upon arrival, enjoy a well-deserved rest before being transferred to your next destination in Lombok.

How difficult is the Rinjani Trek?

The trek is considered moderate to challenging. Good physical fitness is recommended, especially for the summit climb which involves steep volcanic terrain.

Do I need trekking experience?

Previous trekking experience is helpful but not mandatory. Beginners with good fitness and strong motivation can join the trek.

What is the best season to climb Mount Rinjani?

The best trekking season is during the dry season, from April to December, when the weather is generally clear and safe for trekking.

Temperatures at the crater rim and summit can drop to around 5–10°C, especially before sunrise. Warm clothing is highly recommended.

Are there toilets along the trekking route?

Basic toilet facilities are available at some camping areas. A toilet tent may also be provided during the trek.
