What to Expect

Exhibits: The park is divided into seven regions that recreate the natural habitats of our birds, complete with indigenous plant life. Travel from the deep misty jungle of Sumatra to Far East Indonesia and Papua to discover the native birds from these remote regions. Venture to other tropical continents too including South America, the African Savannah and Australia. And walk side-by side with cassowaries, crested-cranes, storks and pelicans and many more birds as they wander freely through the park. Daily Activities Bali Rainforest: Free Flight Bird Show. Marvel at our free flight show featuring macaws, storks, cockatoos and other birds as they soar through the sky – an amazing opportunity to see so many different birds in one environment. Basic Instinct: Birds of Prey Show. Let your imagination fly when you meet our majestic Free Flight Bird Show from eagles to kites, owls to falcons. Watch them as they soar overhead and swoop down. 4D Theatre: Be entertained by 4-Dimension bird movies at the park’s air-conditioned cinema. Komodo Experience: Come join our keeper as he feeds our resident Komodo dragons, giant monitor lizards that are direct descendants of the dinosaurs that lived nearly 100 million years ago. Guyu Guyu Corner: Get up close and personal with our spectacular macaws and colourful cockatoos who will perch on your shoulder for a photo opportunity. Come meet the impressive wreathed hornbills. And our friendly Eclectus Parrot couple – the male is bright emerald green and his mate is scarlet red. Papua Rainforest Feed: Discover the exotic birds of Papua and one of the most comprehensive collections of birds-of-paradise in the world. Lory Feeding: Enter the misty jungle enclosure and feed the stunning rainbow-coloured lories with nectar as they land on you. Meet the Bird Stars: Encounter the true stars of the park – they are our cheeky entertainers who adore the limelight. They include Anna-Maria – our Black Palm Cockatoo – and our impressive Wreathed Hornbills. A number of our bird stars have been hand-reared in captivity, which means they are completely at ease with human contact. Pelican Feeding: Come throw some fish for the pelicans that have the longest bill of any bird in the world. See how their massive pouches flap with anticipation at feeding time.
